Performance, 30'Vocal Naps is a performative sound body that functions less as a dramaturgical event than as a surface of projection. From the encounter of breath, voice, and place emerge minimal, site-specific sound installations. In MELT, the image oscillates between dissolution and collective cohesion. Sleep and singing open a grotesque-poetic perceptual space between dream, bodily rhythm, and social reality.
Vocal Naps is a performance project founded in 2016 by Anne Glassner, Nicole Krenn and Mona Rabofsky. In response to the specific performance environment, they develop site-specific sound installations of a performative character, which they realise on a project basis together with additional experienced musicians.

Anyone who, like Faust, seeks to satisfy every desire, pays a price. In our case: the destruction of the very foundation of our existence. Breaking free from this pact is difficult, but if successful, the reward is immense –not only the climate is saved.
Helga Kromp-Kolb is professor emeritus at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) focusing on climate change, environmental meteorology, societal transformation, peace and paradigm shift in science.
